INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTERS PRESENTATION


Your poster should be displayed on the poster board with the abstract code you have just received with this email. The abstract codes can also be found in the program book.

  • All posters will stay up for 2 days

  • MTU-coded posters will stay up on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd
  • WTH-coded posters will stay up on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th
  • Please prepare your poster on one sheet of Bristol board or laminated paper. Alternatively, presenters may display their material on several smaller sheets.
  • The dimensions of the poster should not exceed 94.4 cm wide x 228.8 cm high. Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.
  • The text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet).
  • Tacks and technical equipment will be available for the mounting of posters.

13:00 - 15:30 - Presentation of Posters (Lunch)
17:30 - 20:00 - Poster Presentation (Wine and Cheese Reception) - Poster presenters with odd numbers should be at their poster between 18:00-19:00 and those presenting posters with even numbers between 19:00-20:00.

Tuesday, August 22nd
10:30 - 11:00 - Posters Viewing (Coffee Break)
13:00 - 15:30 - Presentation of Posters (Lunch)
17:30 - 18:00 - Posters Viewing (Coffee Break)
18:00 - Take down MTU posters - must be removed by 19:00

Wednesday, August 23rd

Thursday, August 24th

Authors will be requested to stand next to their poster boards during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks as well as during the dedicated poster session viewing time.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS


 Data presentation:

If using a PowerPoint (or any other computer) presentation, please note you need to bring it on a USB memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and load it directly onto the conference computer at the podium inside the session hall where your lecture is taking place, during one of the breaks, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Please note that the conference computers in the session halls are being supplied with Office 2007 (at least).

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during a coffee or lunch break, at least 30 minutes prior to your session.

Alternatively you may supply your own laptop computer. In such case please make sure you are equipped with a VGA socket for external signal and please come and check that it works in the session hall where your lecture is taking place prior to your session during one of the breaks - at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your session.

Important note for Macintosh users:

In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer, please follow the below instructions:

1/ Please use the most common fonts, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).

2/ Insert pictures as JPG files only (pictures int TIF, PNG or PICT format will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).

3/ Use a common movie format, such as AVI and WMV (MOV files from QuickTime will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).

Alternatively, you may use your own Macintosh laptop computer but please make sure you are equipped with a VGA adaptor for external signal and please come and check that it works in the session hall where your lecture is taking place prior to your session during one of the breaks - at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Please note that VHS Video projection, 35 mm' slide projection and Overhead projection (projection of transparencies) will not be available.
